Georgina Picas (Barcelona, 1984) is a midwife, sexologist, and pharmacy graduate. She is a dedicated professional with a passion for women’s sexual and reproductive processes.
Since the beginning of her professional career, she has worked in various healthcare fields, including community and primary care, a specialized center for young people, several maternity wards across the region, a public birth center, and also in healthcare management.
With a global perspective and a strong social commitment, she has expanded her training and experience in different parts of the world, such as Quebec, Cameroon, Greek refugee camps, and the Andean jungle, always with the goal of supporting women in their sexual and reproductive health journeys. Currently, she is the head of an ASSIR in Barcelona and a board member of the Association for Sexual and Reproductive Rights.
Her personal experience, after a long process of trying to conceive and facing infertility, has led her to significant learning both as a woman and as a midwife. This journey has inspired her passion for writing and sharing knowledge.
