Alfred Picó Sentelles is a journalist, writer and professor of Communications. He graduated in Science Information in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

He has specialized in cultural journalism. He has written over 500 articles and opinion columns in “El Periódico de Catalunya”, presented sections and programs on Radio 4, RAC 1 RAC 105 and COM Radio. He has also been critics of cinema and literature for Channel 33 and City TV.

He has worked as a Professor of Communication for fifteen years. The most recent courses he has given are “Comunica’t millor” (“How to Communicate Better”), “Comunicació positive per entitats” (“Positive Communication for Entities) and “Com parlar sense por” (“How to Give a Speech With no Fear”). He also teaches Film History and Horror Movies.

His novels Blai Grana (1999) and Sí, sí, sí. Hem guanyat a Paris (2006) have become the major reference for novel on sports in Catalonia. He also wrote the essay Tot el que necessites és amor. His latest book is El mètode Picó per parlar en públic (2013).
