From an English mother and Spanish father, she was born in Córdoba in 1971, where she studied languages and began her university studies.

In the mid-1990s, she moved to Germany to work as a teacher and earn a doctorate in English Philology.

Once she had finished her thesis, she realised that she could not stop writing.

Since then she has combined her research and teaching with translation and creative writing.

La Tumba de Paulina is her first work of fiction.

She currently lives between Jena (Germany) and her native Córdoba, where she spends as much time as she can, although she also often travels to the UK.

Her translations have appeared in the publishing house El Almendro and in specialised magazines.
