Jordi Olloquequi (Barcelona, 1982) holds a PhD in Cell Biology and has spent more than fifteen years teaching and conducting research at the university level.

For seven years, he led the Cellular and Molecular Pathology Research Group at the Universidad Autónoma de Chile, where he developed various projects in the field of biomedicine.

He is currently a professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences at Universitat de Barcelona.

Additionally, he is a researcher at the Institute of Neurosciences at Universitat de Barcelona and the Center for Networked Biomedical Research on Neurodegenerative Diseases (CIBERNED), where he works to discover new treatments to combat Alzheimer’s and other aging-related diseases.

Beyond his scientific career, he has been part of various rock and alternative music bands since his teenage years, recording several albums and performing on numerous stages.
