Ramon Gasch i Pou was born in 1950 in Santa Maria de Palautordera. He is an Electrical Technical Engineer and writer as a vocation. In his professional career, he has published two technical manuals and a memoir dedicated to engineering. He has also published several novels and short stories, including Bon cop de falç (Winner of the Néstor Luján Prize in 2011). His most recent novels are Sal Roja (2019) and Llaços de Sang (2022), both co-authored with Teresa Sagrera.

He is a founding member of GEM (Montseny Writers Group and he also collaborates with various newspapers. 

In addition, he works in the children’s and young adult literature sector. His great passion is painting. He has several exhibitions, and posts one of his paintings on Instagram every day, where he can be found as gaschpou.
