Adelaida Frías was born in Barcelona and showed an interest in writing from a young age. During her adolescence, she trained in Paris as an actress and acrobat. She made her debut at the Rigolo Circus in Switzerland (1979) and on the trapeze at the Circ Cric in Catalonia (1980-81). In 1982, she founded the company Perillós with Jordi Borrell, developing acrobatic theatre and performing at European festivals for sixteen years. Since 1997, she has directed, acted, and written for other companies as well as her own productions, such as The Earth Is Blue Like an Orange. Between 2000 and 2011, she formed the duo Delícies, performing her own stories accompanied by saxophone. She has also combined teaching acting with writing theatrical texts. Currently, she continues to write theatre for young actors and has published stories and more than 70 works online and in printed collections.
