Trained as an economist and psychotherapist, passionate about history, crime novels and science fiction, coach and trainer for almost twenty years, Jon Echanove has had the good fortune to visit and work in more than forty countries, which has allowed him to experience first-hand the value of multiculturalism and the challenges of a world that is increasingly closer, but also more complex and tribal.
The curiosity to discover a new culture, the richness of inhabiting a new language or the possibility of reinventing oneself in an unknown environment are essential elements of his stories and characters. His writing aspires to show the depth of the process of change where ordinary people are confronted with novelty, loss and creation.
After living in China and the Philippines, finally settling in Belgium, he combines writing with managing international cooperation projects in the hope that he is contributing to reducing social inequality.
