Alejandro Palomas (Barcelona, 1967) holds a BA in English Philology from La Universitat de Barcealona and a master degree in poetry by the New College in San Francisco. He has published in several diaries and has translated, amongst many other authors, works by Katherine Mansfield, Gertrude Stein, Willa Cather or Jack London.
In 2002 he was named New FNAC Talent for his title El tiempo del corazón. In 2008, Alejandro was finalist of Ciudad de Torrevieja literary award with his title El Secreto de los Hoffman, which was adapted for theatre in 2009. In 2011 he published El tiempo que nos une. That same year he was finalist for the Literary Spring Award with El Alma del mundo. His work has been translated into 15 languages.
In 2014 he publishes Una Madre (Mandarache Award 2016) which adaptation rights have been recently acquired by Morena Films. In 2015, he published Un hijo, greatly awarded (Protagoniste Jove Award in 2016, Fundación Cuatro Gatos in 2016), which film rights were acquired in 2017. In 2016 he published Un perro and Las dos orillas, his first picture book. In 2018 he publishes Un amor, book by which he was awarded with the Nadal Literary Award.
