Carla Gràcia Mercadé has a degree in Communication Sciences from the URLL. After completing a postgraduate degree in Conflict Management and Resolution, an international MBA and living in France, England and the United States, she embarked on the adventure of travelling around the world. It was during this journey that she discovered her vocation for the profession of writing.
She published two essay books with Ara Llibres and Columna, and trained as a writer at the Ateneu in Barcelona while working for national and international companies in the field of communication and training.
Her works include “Set dies de Gràcia” (Rosa del Vents/Grijalbo), also translated into Italian and Polish. The book was awarded the Premi Llança 2015 d’Omnium Cultural, the Vila de Gràcia (2015) and the Alghero Donna Prize of Literature and Journalism.
She is currently Professor of Creative Writing at Bath Spa University, Associate Professor at the International University of Catalonia and Professor at the Laboratori de Lletres.
