What services does the Sandra Bruna literary agency offer?2024-04-18T10:14:32+02:00

At Sandra Bruna Literary Agency we represent national authors all over the world, as well as international agencies and publishing companies in Spain, Portugal, Latin America and Brazil.

Courses and training for writers.

We also offer courses and training for writers, such as the online course “from writer to author” given by literary agents Sandra and Berta Bruna. Here you will learn the essential tools of the career of a literary agent and the publishing sector. You will discover the basic concepts to be able to present your work to an editor or agent without going unnoticed, to successfully negotiate a publishing contract or to manage your copyrights.

We also offer editorial and copyright services such as reading reports, proof-readings, editing, and others that can be seen here.

How can I request your services as a literary agent?2024-04-18T10:15:17+02:00

Sandra Bruna Literary Agency is a very experienced agency, so it is difficult to expand the list of authors we represent, and the volume of requests demands us to be very selective.

For this reason, we are not actively looking for new authors. However, we are willing to evaluate proposals or projects from authors with genres or profiles that are significantly distinctive from what we are currently representing and that can bring an added value to the agency. For this, we have a voluntary evaluation process.

If you think that your project fits, and you would like more information, please write us at

How can I submit my manuscript for further consideration?2024-04-18T10:16:10+02:00

You need to write us at nuevosautores@sandrabruna.com.

Ideally, you should include the title of the project and a 2-line narrative summary; a dossier with reviews or comments from previous publications as magazines, books, blogs, etc.; a list of other agents or publishers who have seen your work, and a brief summary of why your project is distinctive. Finally, mention if you have been recommended by someone in the publishing industry.

We will let you know how our evaluation process works.

Which literary genres or themes of books does your agency represent?2024-04-18T10:30:48+02:00

We represent all genres, except poetry.

We do not represent independent authors who do not write in Catalan or Spanish.

How is the manuscript review and selection process?2024-04-18T10:31:23+02:00

Due to the large volume of requests we receive for the evaluation of manuscripts for their further representation, we have set up a voluntary selection process. This provides us with a first overview of the work, to carry out a technical reading report. This report is carried out under a previous budget.

The Report is a useful tool for our selection process. It is also a necessary tool for the author to have a professional assessment of his or her work and to be able to detect the stage of his or her work. Unfortunately, a good report cannot mean representation. We are a small team, and not all good manuscripts can bring to the agency what we need. We don’t always see the possibility of supporting or doing a good job with that manuscript. Not only that, but we must take into account many things apart from the manuscript, and these evaluations are different depending on the stage of the industry.

Which is the estimated response time for queries and receipt of manuscripts?2024-04-18T10:31:52+02:00

We reply to all emails we receive. The average response time is one month, although we may take a little longer in times of high demand.

Do you work with international authors or only with those who write in certain languages?2024-04-18T10:32:17+02:00

Although we represent international authors, we always do so through our clients. We do not represent international freelance authors. We only represent authors independently if their work is written in Catalan or Spanish.
