Elena Moya was born and raised in Tarragona. She trained as a journalist and completed a master’s degree in Financial Journalism in the United States, funded by a Fulbright scholarship. Elena has followed financial markets for more than 30 years, working as a journalist in Spain, the United States, and the United Kingdom (El Periódico de Catalunya, Bloomberg, Reuters, The Guardian), and as an investment professional at fund management firms (PIMCO, M&G and Mediolanum International Funds Ltd.). Her role is supported by the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification, the most prestigious in the international financial world.

Elena is the author of four novels (Los olivos de Belchite, La maestra republicana, La candidata and La otra orilla), and she founded and directs the Festival Literari Internacional de Morella, FLIM (www.flim.es).
